Ashley Young returns for United’s crunch match with Everton

Winger Ashley Young is back from injury ahead of United’s Premier League match against Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Young suffered a knee injury in United’s victory over Liverpool last month. He has been out of action for four weeks, but now according to Sir Alex Ferguson, the England international is back to full fitness.

The United manager also revealed that defender Phil Jones’ is not far from a return to the first-team, and his illness is not as bad as previously suggested.

Sir Alex said:” Ashley Young is back and Phil Jones’ illness is not as bad as was suggested by England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce.”

Mexican striker Javier Hernandez is still not back from international duty, and the veteran manager did not reveal any information about Michael Carrick’s hip injury, which kept him out of England’s friendly against Brazil in midweek.

“All the players are back fit from the internationals although we are still waiting on Chicharito to return.” Sir Alex told reporters at United’s training ground Carrington.
