Chelsea have agreed a deal with French club Saint Etienne to sign defender Kurt Zouma.
According to radio station RMC, the Blues have agreed a £12.4 million (€15 million) fee with Les Verts and the 19-year-old France U21 international has agreed personal terms with the Londoners.
Saint-Etienne were said to be holding out for £18 million for their player, but have relented according to reports from France.
The transfer can be completed in time before the transfer window closes on January 31, and the young defender could be allowed to stay with Saint Etienne until the end of the current season.
St Etienne co-president Roland Romeyer has previously said: “Some clubs have launched a bid for the player, but we will not change our strategy.
