The controversial Bahrain race just got a little more weard. A number of F1 twitters are reporting that there was rain this morning in Bahrain:

@LeeMcKenzieF1 Some rain falling at the circuit in the desert! @danielricciardo 's rain dance has worked afterall!
It is not expected that this will actually warrant the use of intermedia tires. It is unclear, however, if Pirelli even supplied such tires for the race in the desert.
Another Sunday morning update is that Michael Schumacher needed a new (unscheduled) gear box. This means that Michael's weekend just got from bad to worse. He could not progress to Q2 yesterday and now the gear box change means that he will get a five place grid penalty. Michael will, therefore, start either at P22 or from the pit lane.
Come back for our race review later today. Despite the political controversy, the Bahrain race weekend seems to be quite excited on the track.
