Manchester United are going all out in their pursuit to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
After having a £37 million bid accepted for Juan Mata by Chelsea, the United manager David Moyes feels that the club can tempt the 26-year-old midfielder to move to England.
Vidal signed a one-year contract extension in December, which means his contract will run out in June 2017, but the Old Trafford hierarchy feels that Vidal can be offered higher wages at United as his contract is still on a lower scale as compared to United.
Moyes was on a scouting trip to Italy recently and saw Paul Pogba, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal in action. According to reports, the Scot enquired about the possibility of signing Vidal from Juve GM Beppe Marotta.
Any transfer for Vidal rests on United offering the Old Lady a huge transfer fee in the region of £35-40 million plus a bumper contract for the Chile international. Otherwise the deal could be completed in the summer.
Vidal is Juve's highest scorer this term with 15 goals in all competitions.
